Statues + Squares
The Familia Sagrada in Barcelona is still under construction with many fantastic statues to look at. The numbers you see represent a Magic Square.

magic number square
screenprint, embroidery, and pencil on fabric.
Based on Durer's magic number square. Each magic number square is embroidered in the cooresponding box. The penciled numbers are copied directly from my meticulously kept notes on how many ounces of milk I had pumped for my baby during the course of almost a year.

Entrada de la Pasión (19 April 2005)
This is the Passion Entrance of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. The scupltures are recents works and not by Gaudi, but they're quite interesting in their own right. The two figures on the right depict Jesus being betrayed by Judas, and in the centre is a "magic square" whose numbers add up to 33.
This photograph was taken with a Lomo LC-A camera and scanned and processed in Photoshop.

Magic square
This 'magic square' is on the doors to the Passion facade of Sagrada Familia cathedral in Barcelona.
There are several of these (33 in fact) dotted around the building.
Each line of four numbers (horizontal, vertical and diagonal) adds up to 33, the age at which Christ is reckoned to have died.

SATOR Square
The square reads
SATOR
AREPO
TENET
OPERA
ROTAS
Its a classic Latin palindrome that reads the same up and down, back and forth. It translates roughly to mean that "The Great Sower holds in his hand all works; all works the Great Sower holds in his hand." - Wikipedia.
Or in our case, it means, "Hey that dude has a cool square, lets draw on it"

Quadrato magico
Barcellona - Sagrada familia
Talismano? Simbolo propiziatorio? Magia? Mistero?

SATOR Magic square
The sower, Arepo, holds the wheels to [their] works
Arepo, il seminatore, tiene in movimento le ruote
Tatti, Tuscany, Italy

Jupiter magic square
Jupiter Magic Square. The magic costant is 34 the product of 2, the first female number (even are female, odd, without 1 are male) and 17 a male prime number.
The sum of all the numbers of the square 136.
136 is strangely bound to 244.
13+33+63=244 and 23+43+43=136
The colours are: orange-bronze for the numbers and blue for the background.
The metal of Jupiter is tin.
